數據統計方面，今年並沒有交出令人滿意的答卷，同比去年均有單位數下降，有趣的是，如果你眼尖，能在入口排隊入場的那張照片裡，見到《音響技術》的錢姐和大草兩位前輩。

530 exhibitors from 41 countries (- 2%)
• 19,889 visitors in total (- 7%)
• 7,557 trade visitors from 78 countries (- 6%)
• High satisfaction among all participants

After four successful exhibition days, the 37th HIGH END in Munich ended on May 13. A total of 530 exhibitors (previous year: 538) from 41 nations and 19,899 visitors (previous year: 21,412) were counted, including 7,557 trade visitors (previous year: 8,002) from throughout the world. This represented a slight decline in visitor numbers compared to the previous year. Quite possibly, it was the almost mid-summerlike weather throughout all four days of the exhibition that prompted some potential visitors from the region to go on an excursion rather than to visit a trade fair.

TRADE VISITORS

In total, 7,557 trade visitors from 73 countries came to Munich. This represents slightly six percent fewer visitors compared to the HIGH END 2017. The share of international trade visitors was in fact 70 percent. After Germany, the four most heavily represented countries are the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands. It is the combination of music presentations, the showcase of the most exquisite lines of equipment, workshops and captivating lectures that have made up the HIGH END for decades, attracting dealers, consumers, as well as representatives from the audio and supplier industry, to the exhibition in Munich.

VAST MEDIA ECHO FROM THE WHOLE WORLD
In the press center, 519 media representatives from 40 different countries became accredited during the four-day run of the exhibition. Making up a share of 56%, clearly one out of two journalists from abroad came to Munich to communicate the topic of high-quality music reproduction and the presence of the HIGH END 2018 to the entire world.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

This year’s HIGH END stood totally under the banner of music. The Norwegian composer and singer Kari Bremnes was a special guest and at the same time the brand ambassador of the HIGH END 2018 exhibition. The trade visitors were able to experience this wonderful artist live at an autograph session and to acquire a hand-signed copy of her new album there. On the second day of the exhibition, on May 11, numerous fans flocked to the autograph session of Kari Bremnes. There was a huge turnout, and a seemingly endless line formed in front of the autograph signing table. Surrounded by her large international following of fans, the artist took time for each individual fan.

Another highlight was the arrival of the international star and musician Till Brönner. He received a special award from the German Record Critics’ Award Association (PdSK) and was thus honored within the scope of the “Quartet of Critics” discussion panel. During this event, his recordings were demonstrated on a high-quality system. Till Brönner was noticeably impressed by the outstanding sound quality.
